Social Media Optimization For iPhones
There are many ways to use social media to broaden a company’s presence in the ever-growing ecommerce market. Social media as a whole offers companies a new way to communicate with customers, and today this becomes more prevalent with mobile devices, yielding a very targeted and personalized result.
The idea is to create web sites and use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to get more customers attracted to your company, in order to create awareness in social media, both on the web and in the use of mobile applications. You may even supplement your SEO efforts where web links (through Blogs for example), are discovered by the web major search engines, thus contributing to higher rankings. The links take potential customers to your web site where the information and marketing process begins.
You may look to create an “online newsroom” in the form of social media and web site design where your customers can learn all about your company and its products and services. Do this through an iPhone app and it could be money in the bank! Whether it’s through Facebook, twitter or Google Plus, you should look to design a newsroom that creates awareness, interest and the motivation. Beyond Facebook and Twitter, you may also look to communicate with new and existing customers through third-party blogs.
Look to grow your online presence through social marketing using social media planning, and look to grow your mobile presence as well. All content of social media will give you needed competitiveness which will in return keep your company, get noticed and stay ahead of your competition.
Essential Items For A Successful Buisness
If you have a store or business of any kind in which customers are visiting, one of your main goals is to satisfy those customers. The truth is if they are happy at your store, you will be happy because you are more likely to get more of a profit. Making your customers happy isn’t always easy, but there are some items that will help make this happen. Something that customers want is convenience, especially when it comes to buying something. One suggestion I make in order to make your store more convenient is to get an ATM machine. ATM Machines are such an important purchase because more times than often people forget to bring cash with them, and all they have with them in their credit card. Well maybe they are trying not to use credit as much, so they are sticking to cash. Instead of telling them to find the closest bank, why not make it easier for them by providing the ATM machine right in your store?
Then there might be a customer that prefers to use their credit card. This is why another item that’s essential if you have a store is a POS System. POS systems are the machines that the customer uses to select their form of payment, and swipe their credit card if necessary. From counter systems to wireless ones, it’s important to decide which type your business would benefit from the most.
iPod Shuffles and a Whole Lot More
The iPod shuffle is a cool little device when you want to save the expense of an iPhone 4s or even an iTouch. The cheap iPod shuffle is perfect for when you’re on the go and need some tunes but don’t have the time to sift through your whole collection to find what you’re looking for. It works off of the premise that you like the music that you put on the device, otherwise why would you put it there? There aren’t tons of buttons to fiddle around with, no touch screen that eats batteries or any fancy doo-dads. It’s a simple device to get you the music you want to hear. Personally I love my iTouch, but this handy little iTunes player is great for someone on the go.
It’ll be interesting to see how Apple continues to migrate from a simple provider of music to a full broadcast TV company. They came out with Apple TV and it’s quite popular. With the Christmas holidays coming up, and Black Friday having just passed, now’s a great time to take advantage of the many TV closeouts. I’ve got my eye on a 64″ 3D plasma TV but that might be overkill for most people. If you’re not a movie fanatic like me, then you might be perfectly happy with a 32″ 720p TV to watch your favorite shows on Apple TV, Netflix or wherever else.
I can’t promise that the iPod shuffle, or even Apple TV will give you the gratification after shopping for a Hitachi Magic Wand target for your personal use, but I can promise that if you like TV and enjoy music, these Apple products are certainly worth looking into. You might just find a great deal this holiday and pick one up for yourself, and one for a friend or family member.
Mobile Phone Companies Use Creative Displays
Shoppers face an avalanche of improved mobile technology in stores and online this holiday. With so many new smart phones coming out, shoppers will struggle to choose the winning mobile phone from the sea of sameness.
How do mobile phones receive any attention in stores at this time, you ask? Good question. With so many choices, most mobile phones struggle to stand out from the crowd in stores and at trade shows. In order to increase attention to a product or brand, many companies turn to trade show displays.
Displays are often used in conjunction with advertisements, information booths, or discount promotions. The combination of an attention-grabbing pop up stand and a tempting sales promotion is usually enough to convince consumers who are “on the fence” to hop over into the realm of smart-phone ownership.
Apart from pop ups, Trade Show Displays are used to convey a small amount of information in an eye-catching way. For example, if Apple wanted to inform consumers about the new features available with the iPhone 4S, using a trade show display would give the consumer answers to questions they didn’t even know they had. Trade show displays are great tools when used at eye-level, to catch and maintain consumer interest.
Finally, mobile phone distributors turn to vinyl banners to convey the most important information they have. Generally, banners will inform consumers about a new product, feature, or sales promotion that they simply cannot pass up.
In the chaotic holiday environment, no tool is off limits when trying to convince consumers.
Check Your Links on the Go
Pretty much everybody has a smartphone these days. Some people get them because they look cool. Other people will buy a smart phone to check email or send images to their friends. And then there are the hardcore users. You might say that I’m pretty hardcore when it comes to how I use my iPhone.
Being that I’m in the web marketing business, I frequently need to check the stats on my websites. Did I get any traffic today? Did I make any sales? How is my SEO doing? As I am addicted to checking my website stats all day, every day, it’s a blessing and a curse to have a smartphone in my pocket. I’m always connected and so I’ll check links to my website using tools like this website grader.
The HubShout web grader is a free tool for researching backlinks, keywords and competitors. The makers of this tool feel that on-site SEO is emphasized far more than it needs to, and therefore that 70% of search engine rankings come from backlinks. Anyway, I digress.
The point of all of this is that I do some pretty technical things on my iPhone, including all that website benchmarking stuff I mentioned above. Think you’ve got what it takes to become a power user of your smartphone? See what you can do – perhaps there are apps available that will help you with your job as well.
Electronic Medical Records Revolutionize Patient Care
Keeping a firm record of activity is important to everyone in this digital age. Forgetting your cell phone or having the battery die can feel like you are completely disconnected from the world, unable to post about your day, contact your friends and family, or view your favorite apps and games. The need to keep records is even more important in the medical profession, where long term care relies directly on medical records.
Doctors count on more than just their phones to keep themselves and their patients in working order. Medical records are essential when it comes to tracking patient process, family history and any potential risk-factors or health concerns. Previously, medical records were compiled and kept in large file cabinets, fetched during patient appointments. With this method, you ran the risk that patient medical histories could be lost in the clutter. Today, most hospitals have switched to Electronic Health Records, ensuring that patient information is never lost, and can be updated in real-time without destroying the entire rain forest.
Medical Records Software has improved drastically since its initial implication. Patient care is more organized and comprehensive, and physicians don’t need to worry about missing or disorderly file folders. From a patient’s standpoint, electronic medical records software has revolutionized the way people visit the doctor, allowing the doctor to access and edit, from the exam room, patient information.
This new system has completely cut down on paperwork for both professionals and patients in the medical field. Electronic medical records have simplified more than just the exam room. Nursing Home Software allows residents to receive comprehensive care, whether they are examined by their doctor or by a new one. Nurses and staff members in nursing homes have quick access to information like potential health risks or allergies, should an emergency arise.
Electronic medical records have revolutionized the way doctors and patients interact. Soon, medical records will be accessible by patients from a smart phone, allowing them to keep track of their health alongside the professionals.
The history of computer wallpapers
Before iPhones came into play, there was something called a screensaver. The original purpose was to create a moving image on a computer screen to prevent burn-in. For those who saw their first computer in the last decade, the concept of screen-burn-in is probably an alien concept. It used to happen with CRT screens – those big, bulky “tube” screens. When a stationary image was frozen on the screen for a period of days, or sometimes hours, the image would “burn in” and leave a ghost image on top of any background image – forever. I had this occur on my old Dell machine. I was editing some HTML before the weekend, and left my computer on to go away on a trip. Had I had a screensaver installed, the screen would have gone blank and then displayed the then-popular bouncing ball or other simple, moving graphic and my screen would have been saved.
Today, people don’t think of screensavers – they think of “wallpaper” for the computer monitor. The LCD displays of today just don’t have the same issues as the old CRT monitors used to have. However, people took this very practical tool and turned it into something used strictly for entertainment. The result is that there are tens of thousands of free wallpapers found throughout the net, even on this website! I still use a Dell desktop computer today since it’s a brand I grew up with. My favorite wallpaper image is a nostalgic under-water scene with fish swimming back and forth across the screen. It probably doesn’t matter anymore, but I will never make the mistake of burning an image into my screen because I didn’t have my screensaver – or wallpaper turned on.
Having fun watching Rent with my girlfriends
Guest post written by Annette Daniels
There aren’t that many times when my girlfriends and I have a real chance to get together and have some fun. See now, we’re living in all different parts of the country. But every few years, we try and put together a trip for all of us to meet up for a weekend and spend some quality time together. It doesn’t always quite work out perfectly, but it sure doesn’t hurt to plan and make an effort. Our latest effort, a trip a few weeks ago, actually worked out for everyone! Which I think that most of our kids are in college now anyway, so that made going away for a weekend a little easier for each one of us.
As I was online doing research on buying tickets for a show, I ran across soem info on Hearing Aids. I read through it and decided to go and get fitted with some of them before I went on the trip.
I did jsut that and we decided on going and seeing the play Rent because I’ve never heard a bad word spoken about it. It was so much fun to watch, plus it was nice to watch something that we knew we could rely on being really good.
